This 1995 Puch 230GE was acquired by the selling dealer from the Swiss army in 2020 and was subsequently refurbished and modified in Poland before being imported into the US in July 2022. Work included a repaint in matte gray along with the installation of W463 bodywork and lighting, a black canvas top, a two-tone leather interior, and 18″ wheels. Power is provided by a 2.3-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking rear differential. Amenities include back up camera, power windows, carbon-fiber trim, and air conditioning. This 230GE is now offered in New Jersey with import documents and a clean Montana title.
The body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in matte gray in 2022. Fender flares, running boards, projector headlights, LED taillights, and Mercedes-Benz badging were also added at that time. Additional exterior features include a velcro-secured tan soft top, a front bikini top, and a rear-mounted spare tire with a canvas cover.
18″ wheels feature Mercedes-Benz center caps and wear Bridgestone tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features heated front and rear bucket seats upholstered in diamond-quilted black and red leather along with matching door panel inserts. Carbon-fiber trim has been added to the steering wheel, passenger-side grab handle, and shift knobs. Additional equipment includes an air-conditioning system with a three-speed fan, power windows, center-console-mounted USB ports, back up camera and center-facing rear jump seats.
The two-spoke steering wheel features tan stitching and frames a 180-km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 5k kilometers (~3k miles), which is said to have rolled over once. Total mileage is unknown. Dashboard illumination was added by the selling dealer along with a backlit analog clock.
