This beautiful 1966 Chevelle was built for a General Motors CFO back in 2004 by Pete Chapouris at SoCal Speed shop. The project started with a 15,oo mile creampuff, the odometer now shows 28,000 miles. Finished in PPG black, 20 years later it still shows very well. All stainless is finished in brushed nickel, and is all straight, no dings. Budnik Muroc III wheels, Nitto tires. Drivetrain is from a late model Z06, a dry sump LS7 427 connected to a Tremec T56 6 speed. Currie rear end with 3.89 gears. Front suspension has 2″ drop spindles with tubular control arms. Rear 4 link by Global West with 1″ drop springs. Bilstien shocks, big Baer brakes all around, 14″ front and 13″ rear. Gabes Custom Auto Interiors handled the interior work. Leather seats, German square weave carpet, custom headliner accented by the turned metal dash and console insert. Great sounding hidden stereo, IPOD compatible with remote. Finished trunk. This is a fast, dependable car with excellent road manners.
