This Chevelle was built with a custom built 555ci engine pushing 928HP & 750 ft/lbs of torque by George Koopal (a NASCAR engine builder). All the best parts went into this engine: Dart Big M Block, Callies Dra 4340 billet crank, Manley 4340 billet rods, JE Pistons, CNC 357cc AFR cylinder heads, Comp roller cam, Jesel Rocker Arms Manley Aluminum Rods, Moroso Full Kick-out aluminum oil pan, billet Moroso oil pump, Edelbrock manifold, Custom Holley Carburetor for E85 (13:1 Compression)

To transfer all that power to the wheels, Mike Stewart was brought in to build a Power Glide reverse valve body, full manual “automatic” transmission with transmission brake & line lock. There’s also a 9″ brazed steel torque converter by Mike Munsinger with 3500 RPM stall on the trans brake. The driveshaft is chromoly with 1350 U-joints. Finally, the rear end has 4:88 gears and a 35 spline Currie axle and Detroit locker. 

All fabrication including Cage/Parachute and Chassis was done by Phil Mandella Racing.  

Brand new Motion Raceworks Shifter, Trans Brake and Line lock buttons were recently installed.

To stop this beast, Aerospace Components disc brakes where added all around.

The car was assembled & all new wiring added by Bill Burton of Burton Classics to ensure proper fit & finish of all parts. 

Custom headers and 3” Exhaust were custom built by Tom Dawson, formerly of Hooker Headers. The Magna fuel pump/filter & billet regulator feed the engine thru NASCAR super light fuel lines with crimped nickel fittings.

There is a MSD Programmable Digital 7 Plus that can be manually adjusted if needed. Outside, all glass & seals were replaced while inside the seats & upholstery were updated but kept looking as original as possible with Dynamat carpets/mats & custom formed foam in the seats

The result is an immaculate 66 Chevelle that will put down high 8’s in the ¼ mile that works perfectly and is 100% ready to race or cruise around town and turns heads everywhere it goes. Everything on this car works perfectly and will provide many years of enjoyment as well as being a great investment.
